Media convergence is used every second of the day and night – Some people could be using it and be completely oblivious to the evolution of the technology. Media and technology convergence if fast growing and is going to stop anytime soon; so what is media/technology convergence? Media/technology convergence is when existing technologies come along and merge together to create new forms of different types of technology or media products.
![]() Media franchises are massive amongst fan-bases and people. It’s something deemed very profitable and often touches the heart of hard-core fans. The franchise I’ll be focusing on is the superhero “Batman”, also known as “The Dark Knight”. Batman is a fictional character created by artist Bob Kane and the writer Bill Finger. Batman’s first appearance was in a comic created in 1939. [1] First debut in Detective Comics#27 (May 1939) – cover art by Bob Kane [1] As the fictional character is growing in popularity the fan-base is increasing daily, with rare antiques of the franchise lost in time worth thousands of dollars to million dollar props on set for high-budgeted Batman films. Mood boards![]() A mood board is similar to a collage; the difference is that a mood board consists of text, images and samples of objects in composition to what the creator is looking inspiration for. The uses of mood boards are popular amongst graphic designers; it enables a person to illustrate visually towards the direction of style they're looking at. Mood board A is mainly about fashion. Fashion is such a broad subject; this mood board in particular is looking at the colour beige and black. By the looks of the mood board it seems as if the designer is getting visual inspiration from birdcages, chandelier’s, flowers, chest drawers and other forms of black dresses.
